I know, I know I haven’t been living up to my promise with my restaurant reviews. But it’s May and it’s time to turn over a new leaf and I hope you’re more than ready for more. This week, my review comes from Bareburger at their Stamford location in Harbor Point.
I have heard mixed reviews here and there about Bareburger and despite hearing an uproar of cons more than pros, I had to let my palate give it a taste especially they had elk patties.
Among the different burgers Bareburger had on their menu to choose from, I decided to build my own burger and here’s what I ended up ordering:
Aaaaaand this is how it turned out:
After my first bite, my initial impression was: this is elk? I was more than underwhelmed by this elk burger because it tasted more like a regular hamburger that was almost fully cooked even though I asked for “medium.” Another thing that made this burger unimpressive was that the burger came solo. I understand everything equates to money but how about adding sides already to the burger amount? Then at least my burger wouldn’t have looked so lonely when it arrived at my table on a half empty plate tray. Nevertheless, I do have to say everyone at the restaurant is really friendly and nice but I think they may have to reevaluate their food quality again if they want to attract foodies to come again.
