Okay, I’m back. I had to take a brief hiatus just to gather my thoughts about Happi N’ Hungry’s direction. Nevertheless, writing food reviews is a passion and a great stress relieving activity to do and I hope you all enjoy them as well!
So recently my friends and I decided to travel to New York City to give Dō a try and thank god for one of my friends @greenwicheats notified my friend and I that we were to expect a four hour wait time so we decided to get to their store an hour before opening aka wake up at 6 am in the morning and boy were we glad we did! If you haven’t heard of Dō aka Cookie Dough Confections, they are known for their safe edible and customizable cookie dough.
We got there around 8:50 am and there was already a line of 20 people in front of us waiting for the store to open at 10 am. These people weren’t kidding when they said you could expect a four hour wait time. About 30 minutes prior to opening, a staff member from Dō met us in line with a menu and take our orders so we could get in and out in no time. Once the clock struck 10, we were in the store in 10 minutes and out in 10.
One thing if you didn’t know about me is that I’m insanely in love with caramel so there was no way that I wasn’t going to get one scoop of their heavenly cookie dough which is made up of sugar cookie, Nutella, chocolate chips, caramel bits and sea salt. Also along with a scoop of heavenly, I also got a scoop of gimme s’more which is made up of their signature cookie dough, Hershey bar, toasted marshmallows and graham crackers.
As much as I’m not a huge fan of cookie dough but this year it’s all about taking in new experiences, I definitely can see what the buzz is all about. Though one thing for certain is as much as it’s good, it’s really rich in taste especially for 10 am in the morning, but if you want to get your hands on any of their flavors before they’re sold out, 10 am is the time to go.
