Wuji Review (Closed)

****UPDATE OFFICIALLY CLOSED****

About a month ago, Wuji opened its doors in Greenwich, Connecticut. This is the third restaurant they have opened while with two other locations located in New York State. They expect to open their doors in Westport, Connecticut later in the year.

So here’s a quick look at the inside decor:

Lobster Tempura

Tempura lobster with lightly fried crispy tempura organic vegetables

🌟 – ⭐️ ⭐️ like where’s my lobster meat?

Steamed Pork Dumplings

Berkshire pork, cabbage, scallions, ginger

🌟 – ⭐️ the purpose of having steamed dumpling is to not have the life sucked out of the dumpling wrapping that works hand in hand with enhancing the “stuffing” in a dumpling

Shanghai Noodles

Stir fried lo mein noodle, seasonal vegetables in a ginger soy sesame sauce

choice of chicken, pork, shrimp or tofu

🌟 – ⭐️⭐️ Creative but too sweet

One Line Sum Up: Before you state “an innovative Chinese food restaurant concept takes the raw materials found in a Chinatown restaurant and executes them through a renewed approach where Chinese cuisine becomes an unadulterated version of its bright, fresh and flavorful self,” maybe take some notes from Yauatcha or Hakkasan and elaborate on that k.
